Privacy Policy

West Egg Labs Company ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Gatsby mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App and our robotic cleaning services (the "Services").
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use the App, we collect the following information directly from you:
- Phone number — used to create and secure your account via SMS verification
- Full name — used to identify you and personalize your experience
- Email address — used for account communications and service updates
- City — used to determine service availability in your area
- Home address — used to schedule and deliver robotic cleaning services to your location
- Unit or apartment number — used to ensure accurate service delivery
- Payment information — used to process payments for the Services, handled securely by Stripe
When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically:
- Account identifiers — a unique user ID is generated when you create an account
- Usage data — we record your booking history, including dates, times, service status, and cancellation activity
- Authentication data — Firebase Authentication manages session tokens and login state securely on your device
- Device and network data — standard information transmitted with every network request, including your IP address and device user-agent string, is received by our service providers
- Google Places API — when you search for an address in the App, your search text and approximate location (based on your city) are sent to Google to provide address suggestions. Only the address you select is saved.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Provide the Services — create and manage your account, process bookings, assign robots, and deliver cleanings to your address
- Communicate with you — send booking confirmations, service updates, and respond to your inquiries
- Manage the waitlist — track your position and notify you when the service becomes available in your area
- Send notifications — deliver push notifications about your bookings, service updates, and promotional offers (with your consent)
- Process payments — facilitate secure payment transactions for the Services
- Ensure safety and security — detect fraud, prevent abuse, and protect the integrity of our platform
- Comply with legal obligations — meet applicable legal, regulatory, and tax requirements
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process
- Protect and defend our rights or property
- Prevent fraud or address security issues
- Protect the personal safety of users or the public
If West Egg Labs Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. Specifically:
- Account data (name, email, phone, address) — retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to fulfill legal and business obligations
- Booking history — retained for record-keeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance
- Payment records — retained as required by tax and financial regulations
- Authentication data — session tokens are managed by Firebase and expire automatically
When your account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal information
- Opt-out of communications — unsubscribe from promotional messages at any time through your notification settings
You can delete your account directly within the App. When you delete your account:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number, address) will be permanently deleted
- Your booking history will be de-identified
- Cached data on your device will be cleared
- Certain records may be retained as required by law

Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including:
- All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication credentials are stored securely using your device's native keychain
- Access to user data is restricted and protected by Firebase Security Rules
- Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers
- We do not store passwords — authentication is handled via secure, one-time SMS verification codes
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with additional rights:
- Right to Know — you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months
- Right to Delete — you may request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Correct — you may request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
Categories of personal information we collect: Identifiers (name, email, phone number), geolocation data (city, address), internet activity information (booking history, app usage), and financial information (payment details processed by Stripe).

Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with consumer privacy laws may have similar rights to those described in Section 8, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing of personal information. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with, including:
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means prior to the changes taking effect.
